Kirstin and Helen met a decade ago at UpSwing Aerial Dance Company in the Bay Area. They bonded over the drive to create art that moves people.
Now based in the Sierra Foothills, their work focuses on sharing the human experience and has been described as soulful and penetrating.

Embodiment Collective was born in 2020, and since then they have been putting a new spin on aerial dance. Using their collective knowledge of ballet, modern, jazz and belly dance, their unique voices are reflected in their work. With grace and fluidity they blur the line between floor and air, bringing vulnerability to their performances.
They are passionate about bringing the voices of the people to the forefront, and have created pieces about love between women and the heartbreak of Roe vs. Wade being overturned. They love bringing their art to places and people who would not otherwise see it, making new connections.
